It should get our attention that every person who has discovered wetiko consider it to be the most important topic to understand in our world today. In this first section, I am attempting to point out that the idea of wetiko is nothing new, but rather, has been creatively envisioned in unique ways by creative visionaries throughout the ages. When these viewpoints are seen together, they provide us with a multiperspectival vision that gives a higher resolution than any one point of view can by itself. This can help us to begin to see this heretofore invisible mind-virus in a way that is wetiko’s (instead of our) worst nightmare.

In this section I am trying to shed light on how the wetiko mind-virus is giving shape to social, political, and economic events in our world. Metastasizing through our body politic like a form of cancer, wetiko is a peculiar form of blindness that doesn’t realize it is blind. This mind-virus underlies the processes of addiction and trauma and has its psychological roots in projecting our own shadow outside of ourselves.

In this next section, I write about the coronavirus pandemic from the dreaming point of view (seeing it as a phenomenon that we have all dreamed up in our world), and interpreting it, like I would a dream, symbolically. I do so in order to decipher the deeper levels of symbolic meaning that are encoded within it so as to be able to receive the potential lessons and gifts that it’s offering us.
